We have expertise in a comprehensive range of remediation technologies including:

Bio-remediation Bio-remediation – typically carried out ex-situ and involves the controlled treatment of contaminated land with biological agents such as bacteria, enzymes or other microorganisms that degrade and neutralise hydrocarbons, nitrate and sulphate-based fertilizers.

Soil stabilisation – involves treating excavated material with chemical additives such as lime, ash or cement to immobilise and encapsulate contaminants and increase the strength and load bearing capacity of sub-grades to support foundations.

Screen/Sort – can be used to remove non-hazardous material such as hardcore, timber and stone to produce a homogenous sub-base required for redevelopment.

Soil washing – uses detergents to clean and decontaminate material with high granular content and can be used to treat hazardous waste.

Pump & Treat – is the most common technique for decontaminating ground water and involves pumping the fluid to a nearby purification facility where it is treated with chemical reagents and filters.

Asbestos – land contaminated with asbestos will be excavated and decontaminated under controlled conditions using a variety of manual techniques (pick and sort) and screening equipment that segregates the hazardous waste which is removed safely to a licensed disposal facility.
