KKB specialises in recovering and recycling construction waste. We are able to apply innovative techniques and technologies to maximise the value of waste material and increase the efficiency and sustainability of construction and civil engineering projects.

We can process materials onsite or remove them to local facilities for recycling:

Asphalt – we can process and regrade waste asphalt material on-site to client specifications.

Concrete hardcore – we have a local authority permit (issued by Medway Council) to perform on-site crushing of concrete aggregate to produce graded material (Type 1/ 6F2/HBM) for re-use as infill, piling mats and sub-base. We can implement the WRAP Quality Protocol to prepare certificated recycled aggregate.

Track ballast – can also be crushed and processed on-site as Type 1 for use in highways projects or removed and stored at local depots.

Plasterboard – we provide mobile facilities for processing waste salvaged plasterboard which segregates the paper content and recovers the gypsum for re-input into the manufacturing process.

Timber/Glass/Metals – we can supply equipment and labour to collate, segregate and remove other building products such as glass, timber and metals from site to local recycling centres.
